Hello! My name is Munzer Alsakhita, and this is my wife, Hiam Saad Aldin. We got married in Damascus, Syria in 1994. We are happy to have you visit out store. We were blessed to have three beautiful daughters: Nour, Farah, and Rama. We are very proud of our girls. They study hard and do well in school.
We left Syria in 2013 because of civil war. We first moved to Istanbul, Turkey, and lived there for two years while we waited for UN refugee status. We had no idea where we would go, or what would become of us. Fifteen months later, we were approved to come to Winston Salem, North Carolina where we now call home.
Our most important goal is to provide safety and a better life for our girls. We want our girls to have a bright future. A goal that Hiam and I have for ourselves is to have our own food based business. We both love cooking, and serving food to other people.
Our store specializes in a variety of spices and food products from the Middle East. We also provide catering for parties and events. We would be more than happy to plan and prepare food for your next event.
